A little bit about me
I grew up a shy and quiet child and teenager, enjoying reading, being creative, music and dancing.
I chose hairdressing as a career which was a great choice for me in retrospect. It fulfilled my creative side whilst teaching me to be more comfortable with people. The social component of the profession allowed the dancing as well. Fun Fun Fun.
I discovered a love for people and a care for their well-being, health and contentment.
Having moved to Australia as a small child I had to get used to a new country and culture.
I developed a pattern of anxiety which I continued for decades. In deciding to study NLP ( Neuro Linguistic Programming ), then Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy, I learned that I have more control over that pattern then I realised.
It is said that hairdressers are accidental counsellors. With my love of people and learned understanding of what we have control of and what we don’t, it is only natural I want to pass that onto others. To show them their freedom to choose. To move away from outdated patterns of the past and make some different choices, ones that are in line with who they are right now and who they want to be in the world.
I would like to be instrumental in bringing connection back to my clients, connection to self, to family, where appropriate, to community and greater.
To overcome the overwhelm that so often accompanies living in the world as it is.
